You can have order shipping costs calculated in real time for your shoppers by having the store connect to either of the following shipping carriers:
- United States Postal Service
- Royal Mail & ParcelForce
Note: With the exception of RoyalMail/Parcel Force & AustraliaPost, you will need to have an account with the respective shipping carrier(s) from the above list in order to use their real-time shipping features.
Setting your required credentials for the Shipping Carriers will be done in your store's Settings =>Shipping =>Shipping Settings page.
Once you have your store configured to use any or all of the above shipping carrier(s) for real-time shipping calculation, the store will provide shoppers with a shipping quote during the checkout process. It does this by sending the carrier specific information about the order including:
Your store or warehouse's physical location which is set in the Settings =>Shipping =>Shipping Methods page.
The order's total weight after combining the weight of all products purchased and their packaging information
Where the package will be delivered -- i.e. the shopper's shipping address
